Sunwing Vacations has added two new Cuban resorts to its hotel portfolio: Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo and Playa Pesquero Resort Suites and Spa.
According to Sunwing, located in Cayo Coco, Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo is the only resort in Cuba to offer overwater bungalows. The beachfront property caters to travellers looking for an upscale experience, including butler service, and a private concierge. Guests are welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and a souvenir upon arrival.

Additional amenities include a panoramic open-air beach bar, yoga and meditation classes, one complimentary massage per stay, and several restaurants and lounges, including the Nuevo Floridita beach bar and Hemingway & Lounge cigar bar. Rooms are equipped with modern features such as plunge pools, stocked bars, and the exclusive Luxury Water Villa with direct sea access.

In Holguin, Playa Pesquero Resort Suites and Spa, part of Sunwing’s Smile Resorts collection, is geared toward families. Located near Bahia de Naranjo National Park, the property offers a wide range of activities, including salsa dancing, beach volleyball, archery, sailing, and snorkeling. For younger guests, there’s a Kids Club and games room, while adults can unwind at the spa.
Highlights of the resort include freshwater pools, an ice cream parlour, beach bars, a kids pool, and a variety of buffet and à la carte dining options. Rooms come with private balconies or terraces and mini-bars, while Premium Service categories offer upgraded amenities and personalized service for adults.
