Travel Advisor Success Stories focus on veteran advisors and how they achieved success. Here’s a look at Zenbiz Travel, CTC, and CEO of Zenbiz Travel
How did you get your start as a travel advisor?
My journey began through event production in New York City, which evolved into organizing group cruises with a business associate on various cruise lines including Carnival Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International.
After several successful years, I expanded into promoting destination events in the Dominican Republic and Brazil, which laid the foundation for what would become Zenbiz Travel.
How did you build your business over the years?
Primarily through word of mouth and client referrals. I’ve been fortunate to have an incredible client base, and I believe consistently delivering great service has kept them coming back – and referring others.
What characteristic make you a successful advisor?
Listening is essential. I take the time to understand what my clients think they want, and then –together – we craft a curated experience based on their needs, preferences and the realities of travel. It’s truly a team effort to create something memorable.
What have been your greatest challenges?
As CEO of Zenbiz Travel, LLC, navigating economic downturns and the global impact of COVID-19 were significant challenges. But resilience, adaptability and client trust helped us weather those storms.
What have been your greatest accomplishments?
Being inducted into KHM Travel Group’s Hall of Fame in 2024 was an incredible honor. Equally meaningful are the countless positive reviews and the steady stream of client referrals over the years – proof that we’re doing something right.
What tips can you provide to advisors new to the industry?
Invest in your education and keep learning. Communicate clearly and consistently. Be selective with your clientele – every client isn’t the right fit, and that’s okay. A good match makes all the difference. Most importantly, always put the client’s needs first.
