
Audley Travel, which specializes in customized FIT vacations tailored to travelers’ specific interests and budgets, added new programs in India, Tanzania, Japan, southwest France and the UK to its portfolio of destinations.
A highlight of Audley’s new program includes bear tracking in the valleys of Dras in Ladakh, one of the coldest inhabited destinations on the planet.
A 14-day bespoke itinerary includes Delhi, Nimmu, Uleytokpo, Nurla, Leh, Nubra Valley and two nights staying at the Drenmo Lodge, the first lodge in India to provide travelers with the chance to view the Himalayan brown bear.
In Tanzania, travelers will have the chance to see the pink flamingos at Lake Natron, the Ngorongoro volcanoes and Empakai Crater while taking vistas of the Great Rift Valley during a walk with Masai tribe members while listening to their stories about local tribes and customs.
Audley Travel added Nagoya in the Aichi Prefecture to its roster of Japanese destinations, which is in the middle of the country. “Nagoya’s location in the center of the country. “Audley’s Japan specialists say it is a great alternative to Takayama for advisors to suggest to clients looking for “traditional Japan” with wooden houses in the mountains and canals running along the streets,” the tour operator said.
A 12-day itinerary includes two nights in Nagoya, and also explores Kyoto, Kanazawa, Fukushima and Uno.
The operator has added a trip the France’s Basque country, the Pyrenees mountain range and French Catalonia.
“A 10-day tour includes five UNESCO World Heritage Sites and hands-on experiences – from food tours and aerospace exhibits in Toulouse, to castle explorations in Carcassonne, the world’s best-preserved medieval fortress,” Audley Travel said.
In the UK travelers will now be able to couple rail journeys aboard Belmond’s luxury Britannic Explorer with visits to such destinations as the Cotswolds and Bath in southwest of England.
An 11-day vacation includes rail travel aboard the Britannic Explorer with visits to Cornwall, the Cotswolds and Bath.
