
In commemoration of its 35th year in business, Avanti Destinations unveiled three new customized FIT packages, three new fixed itineraries with fixed prices, and 13 new sightseeing tours to its portfolio of programs in 12 Latin American countries.
New customized FIT programs include the nine-night “Flavors of Peru, exploring Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cuzco; the 11-night “Authentic Panama,” taking in the sights and sounds of Panama City the Azuero Peninsula, Veraguas and Boca Chia; and the eight-night “Waterfalls Expedition,” putting the spotlight on Costa Rica’s Guanacaste, Arena Arenal and Bajos del Toro.
Late last year, Avanti introduced fixed-price, non-customizable packages to various regions, including Central and South America. Currently, there are 19 such packages available, including the new seven-night “Highlights of Bolivia,” which highlights La Paz, Lake Titicaca, and Uyuni; the five-night “Guatemala Escape”; and the seven-night “Highlights of Peru,” focusing on Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cuzco.
Guests are accommodated in three- and four-star properties on the “Highlights of Bolivia” and “Guatemala Escape itineraries, and in five-star hotels on the “Highlights of Peru” package.
All itineraries include departure and arrival transfers, a variety of sightseeing tours, daily breakfast, and, in some cases, other meals, as well as additional benefits.
Some of the new tours and experiences include cooking classes focusing on traditional Costa Rican cuisine, a treetop dining experience in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and hot air balloon tours at sunrise, taking in the vistas of Chile’s Atacama Desert.
“Central and South America are different from other regions in the world for several reasons,” said Andrea Fournier-Courtney, Avanti’s product manager for Latin America. “The people are friendly and welcoming to Americans, providing lots of opportunities for cultural immersion.”
