Princess Cruises’ newest ship, the Star Princess, will debut with a new iteration of the immersive lounge and theater venue, Spellbound by Magic Castle, when it sets sail for the first time on October 4, 2025.
The venue brings to mind the golden age of magic, when sleight-of-hand and illusion were wildly popular. It’ll feature a ticketing booth, a mysterious Inner Circle, the Cardini Bar, a Backstage area and the Peacock Theater.
Spellbound by Magic Castle on the Star Princess will also offer a new cocktail menu at the Cardini Bar, like The Inner Circle, a cocktail made from milk-washed Meili vodka with notes of jasmine tea.
Several showtimes will be available for guests to enjoy each night, with admission at $45 per guest. Ticket prices include two signature cocktails per person along with the magic show. Spellbound won’t offer a dinner service ahead of showtime, as it does on the Sun Princess.
“Spellbound has quickly become one of the most talked-about experiences at sea, and we’re thrilled to take it to the next level aboard Star Princess,” said Lorna Warren, Princess Cruises Vice President Hotel Operations and Guest Experiences. “By bringing to life the spirit and setting of the original Magic Castle in Hollywood, our reimagined speakeasy will deliver a one-of-a-kind venue where every guest can feel like they’ve stepped into a world of true magic.”
The Star Princess, when it debuts, will be the sister ship to the Sun Princess, accommodating up to 4,300 guests at a time. It will feature 30 dining and drinking venues, accommodations ranging from standard staterooms to mini-suites and more, The Dome and much more.
