Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is offering discounted perks and upgrades to travelers who are members of select airlines’ loyalty programs.
The airline is offering travelers with any level of loyalty program membership with Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit, or Alaska Airlines the opportunity to upgrade to Frontier Elite Gold status for just $69.
Members with Frontier’s Elite Gold status have access to additional onboard perks, including a free carry-on bag, priority boarding with Zone 1, free preferred seat selection, and complimentary upgrades to premium seats.
Elite Gold members also earn 14x miles on every dollar spent on eligible Frontier purchases.
Travelers who enroll through the deal will have Elite Gold status through December 2026. In order to apply, members of the four other airlines’ loyalty programs can go to frontier.getstatus.com to provide their membership information and the $69 application fee by September 9.
In order to be eligible for the discounted status, travelers must have joined one of the other four airlines’ loyalty programs before August 19. Also worth noting: Southwest Rapid Rewards members who qualified for Frontier’s status match earlier in 2025 are not eligible for this new status deal.
“This is one of the most valuable offers we’ve ever extended to frequent flyers,” said Jeff Werkheiser, senior director of brand and customer engagement, Frontier Airlines. “We’re inviting members of many different airline loyalty programs to experience The New Frontier – where they can travel affordably without sacrificing comfort or premium perks.”
