Car rental company Hertz is bringing its “Gold Squad” of trained golden retriever dogs in select airports nationwide for the busy Labor Day travel weekend.
As travel can be a stressful event, Hertz’s team of trained golden retrievers will allow some travelers to relax and destress.
The Gold Squad began their journey at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Dallas, Texas, this past week, and are expected to head to Chicago, San Diego and Atlanta.
Travelers can meet and greet them at the airports or follow along on their journey on Hertz’s social media pages, including Instagram. Those who follow their journey on social media can vote for which airports they’d like the Gold Squad to visit next.
“With the Hertz ‘Gold Squad’ making surprise appearances across the country, we’re aiming to delight customers with something unexpected,” said Kari Birdsall, Vice President, Operations Excellence at Hertz. “Whether it’s a warm welcome from a Golden Retriever or the ease of skipping the counter with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards membership, we’re focused on making every step of the rental experience feel convenient, seamless and a little more golden.”
