Frontier Airlines passengers just got a new way to cover extra fees when flying with the low-cost carrier.
The airline just announced that it now allows travelers to use Frontier Miles to purchase fare bundles, which come with add-on services like seat selection, bags, and priority boarding.
The bundled fares come in three tiers: economy, premium, and business. All of the fare bundles include a personal item, a carry-on bag, and no change or cancel fees.
The economy bundle includes standard seat selection, while the premium bundle includes priority boarding and premium seat selection. The business bundle offers the most perks, with two checked bags, priority boarding, and UpFront Plus seat selection, which gives fliers access to a bigger seat in the first two rows of the aircraft.
“We are on a mission to improve what consumers can expect from ultra-low-cost air travel, and this new benefit for our FRONTIER Miles members will provide even more value when they travel and earn miles with America’s Low Fare Airline,” said Bobby Schroeter, Frontier’s chief commercial officer. “With award flights starting at just 5,000 miles and now bags, seats, and more also available for purchase with miles, the most rewarding loyalty program in the sky just got even better.”
Allowing travelers to purchase the bundled fares with miles is the latest recent enhancement to Frontier’s loyalty program. The airline also recently launched a new way for travelers to earn companion passes by using its co-branded Frontier Airlines World Mastercard.
