Starting next year, Paul Gauguin Cruises and Aqua Expeditions will begin offering special, expert-led voyages in partnership with The Explorers Club.
PONANT EXPLORATIONS has been offering the sailings since 2024. Starting in late 2026, they’ll be expanded to include all three of PONANT EXPLORATIONS GROUP’s distinct cruise lines.
So far, the company has unveiled two departure dates for the m/s Paul Gauguin and four departure dates for Aqua Expeditions. PONANT EXPLORATIONS, meanwhile, will offer more than 15 voyages with The Explorers Club in 2026 and 2027.
“Education and exploration go hand in hand in the pursuit to understand more about our world when we travel,” says Samual Chamberlain, PONANT EXPLORATION GROUP’s chief executive officer of the Americas. “We’re proud to expand our partnership with such an esteemed institution that allows our guests to discover the world on a deeper, more tangible level.”
On The Explorers Club voyages, travelers will get to hear insightful lectures from members of the club. When possible, they will also participate in citizen-science opportunities, too. For example, Paul Gauguin Cruises will offer an 11-night sailing around the Society Islands and Tuamotus featuring Jad Davenport, a National Geographic photographer, filmmaker and author. Aqua Expeditions will host a seven-night Peruvian Amazon expedition with Andrés Ruzo, a geothermal Scientist, conservationist, educator and TED Speaker.
“While all our brands are bound by these shared values, each delivers a distinct experience through its own lens—accelerating a wider understanding to topics such as climatology, biodiversity conservation and oceanography during a time when it’s more important than ever to advocate for awareness in the sciences,” says Chamberlain.
