
Early next year, Breeze Airways, which made its debut during the pandemic, will launch its first international seasonal flights to Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.
The airline has been working toward gaining Federal Aviation Administration approval for the international flights for a significant amount, said Breeze Airways Chief Commercial Officer Lukas Johnson in an interview with CNBC.
The new international service will operate with Breeze’s A220-300s, and between cities with virtually no competition from its rivals, Johnson said.
The carrier will is set to inaugurate Saturday service on Jan. 10 between Norfolk, Va., and Cancun, Mexico, and Saturday roundtrip flights between Charleston, S.C., on Jan. 17.
On Feb. 7, Breeze Airways is slated to launch service to Cancun from New Orleans, and from Providence, R.I., on Feb. 14.
Beginning in March, the carrier is scheduled to launch Thursday and Saturday flights from North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Wednesday and Saturday flights to the Dominican Republic are slated to launch on Feb. 11 from Tampa, Fla., to Montego Bay.
