Terry Dale has signed a two-year contract extending his role as the president and CEO of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA).
Dale began his role of president back in 2011 and became CEO in 2013. The new contract extends his leadership through 2028.
The USTOA expanded government advocacy, strengthened the importance of responsible tourism and strengthened worldwide partnerships under Dale’s last fourteen years. It also started the annual USTOA Congressional Caucus and its Sustainability is Responsibility (SIR) Summit.
The most recent achievements of the organization during Dale’s tenure include reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and DEI in the industry, and being one of the leading forces behind the Beyond Borders Tourism Coalition, which is a Canadian-US tourism coalition addressing the challenges of current trade and border policies.
“It’s an honor, both personally and professionally, to continue to lead USTOA,” said Dale. “I’m grateful for the trust of our members, executive committee, and board, and I’m inspired every day by the dedication of our team. Together, we’ll keep turning challenges into opportunities that make USTOA stronger and that move the global travel industry forward.”
