HX Expeditions recently wrapped up an exclusive event for travel advisors and partners in Seattle.
On September 26, the company hosted more than 200 travel advisors aboard the MS Fridtjof Nansen for a full-day showcase in Seattle, Washington, home to HX’s Americas headquarters since 2014. The event marked MS Fridtjof Nansen’s first official embarkation from the city.
During the event, travel advisors joined immersive sessions about the HX experience, toured the ship’s fitness center, spa, infinity pool and suites, and gathered in the restaurants for a behind-the-scenes look at HX’s new themed menus and signature cocktails.
Members of the expedition team showed how guests explore the world’s most remote places by small boats, kayaking and hiking, while onboard scientists demonstrated how guests contribute over 30,000 observations each year to global citizen science initiatives.
Advisors who attended the Seattle event are also now eligible for 5% savings on new bookings made by October 31. HX also recently launched its largest-ever global trade incentive, “Sell 3, Sail Free.” From now through October 31, advisors have the chance to earn a free expedition cruise for two on a selection of 2026 sailings. Advisors who make three new deposited bookings on eligible HX voyages will qualify, with 130 prizes (65 cabins for two) awarded worldwide
“Travel advisors have always been at the heart of our success, and events like this reflect our ongoing investment in the trade partners who power our growth across the Americas,” says Steve Smotrys, managing director and senior vice president of commercial in the Americas. “Revenue is currently ahead year-over-year for 2026, fueled by excellent growth of more than 50% in the U.S. As we look toward HX’s 130th anniversary in 2026, we are proud to remain the pioneers of expedition cruising.”
The Seattle ship visit took place as part of HX’s largest-ever Americas Roadshow, which has brought the brand to seven cities across the U.S. and Canada this summer and fall. The eighth and final event is scheduled for Orlando on October 22. The events are designed to help advisors deepen their knowledge of expedition cruising and HX’s leadership in the category.
“The response from our partners has been tremendous,” says Smotrys. “Many have told us these roadshow events feel unlike anything else they’ve attended: more engaging, more educational and a true reflection of what sets HX apart in expedition cruising.”
