Leading
travel brand tour operator for 18–35-year-olds, Contiki, is helping first-time travelers
go global with its newly launched passport promotion program.
According to Contiki, research shows more than half of
Americans under 30 have never owned a passport.
As a result, the initiative will
cover the cost of a first-time passport for 100 U.S. travelers ages 18-35 who
book a European trip of seven days or more.
“Travel is one of the most transformative experiences a
young person can have,” said Toni Ambler, Chief Customer Officer at Contiki.
“By covering the cost of a first passport, we hope to make it easier for more
Americans to join the global travel community and embark on life-changing
adventures. This initiative is about opening doors to new cultures, new
friendships, and new perspectives that will stay with travelers long after
their journey ends.”
In addition to the passport program, Contiki recently
introduced new, lower prices across a range of Europe itineraries, from multi-country
adventures like European Highlights to immersive single-country journeys like Portugal
Highlights. With the travel leader’s flexible pay-over-time option plan,
travelers can book their spot with only a $200 deposit.
Travelers age 18-35 can apply for the free passport offer by
completing a form on the Contiki website, upload a passport photo headshot and
receive a $165 promo code to cover the cost of their passport application.
