Carnival Cruise Line’s 2,980-passenger Carnival Valor will begin homeporting year-round in Mobile, Alabama, on May 15, 2027, sailing on six- to eight-day itineraries to The Bahamas.
The ship, which currently offers cruises out of New Orleans, is the first Conquest ship to homeport in Mobile.
The Bahamas itineraries will call at the line’s private destinations of RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key.
Carnival Valor will finalize its New Orleans deployment with a five-day itinerary on May 1, and two four-day sailings on May 6 and 20.
Until the ship arrives in Mobile, Carnival Spirit will be deployed at the destination seasonally from October 2026 to April 2027.
Carnival Valor will also sail on two 14-day Caribbean Journeys sailings out of Mobile in September and November, and a seven-day Thanksgiving cruise on Nov. 20, with calls at Key West, Fla., Nassau and Celebration Key.
“Mobile has been an important part of the Carnival family, and we’re thrilled to mark the return of year-round deployment with our first-ever Conquest-class ship serving the market,” said Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy. “
“This is a big win for our guests who love the convenience of cruising close to home, and for the community that has supported us for many years,” she added.
In other 2027 deployment news, Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest will continue to operate three- and four-day itineraries out of Port Canaveral, Fla., and Carnival Conquest will continue to sail from Miami on three- and five-day cruises.
On Nov. 1, Carnival Conquest will embark on an 11-day Carnival Journeys sailing, with calls at Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Celebration Key and St. Thomas; and the ship will feature a Carnival Journeys sailing to St. Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Celebration Key on Nov. 19.
