Oceania Cruises unveiled Oceania Sonata today, the lead vessel in its new four-ship Sonata Class.
The ninth ship in the Oceania Cruises fleet will make its first journey in August 2027.
Measuring approximately 86,000 gross tons, the luxury vessel will accommodate 1,390 guests and be staffed by 855 officers and crew. Suites will account for 30% of all accommodations, including two new suite categories and reimagined Owner’s Suites.
Continuing its legacy in culinary excellence, Oceania Sonata features specialty dining venues such as Jacques, the line’s sophisticated French restaurant; pan-Asian Red Ginger; Polo Grill steakhouse; and Toscana, serving Italian specialties.
The ship is currently under construction by Fincantieri, the Italian shipbuilder behind the Oceania Marina, Oceania Riviera, Oceania Vista and Oceania Allura.
“As the inaugural vessel of our Sonata Class, Oceania Sonata embodies our vision for the future – one defined by a passion for exquisite cuisine, exceptional service and immersive travel experiences,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.
