The International Association of Destination Wedding
Professionals (IADWP) will host Love Caribbean – Jamaica Edition May 11 to 14,
2026 at the Princess Grand and Princess Senses: The Mangrove resorts. The event
is a gathering of top travel advisors, wedding planners and hospitality providers
for business development opportunities.
Participants from six different countries will be immersed
in authentic Jamaican cultural experiences blended with direct connections with
resorts, tourism boards and key suppliers in romance travel during the
conference.
The wedding and romance travel segment has become a powerful
factor in Jamaica’s tourism industry, generating year-around demand and
attracting high-spending travelers. Globally, the wedding industry exceeds $300
billion, according to IADWP, with destination weddings generating more than $90
billion a year.
On average, a single destination wedding represents an
estimated $98,000 benefit for the host location, including $38,000 in event
production costs (banquet, décor, coordination, local vendors) and $60,000 in
lodging, dining and experiential travel.
By bringing international buyers, partners and travel
advisors directly to Jamaica, IADWP is activating business, strengthening
supply chains and ensuring Jamaica’s rich culture translates into sustainable
economic growth for the region.
Qualified travel advisors and partners may apply for
complimentary lodging through IADWP’s Hosted Lodging Program, which provides
selected attendees with hotel accommodations and ground transportation during
official event dates.
