The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) will be hosting its 2026 Sustainability Is Responsibility (SIR) Summit in Anchorage, Alaska this summer.
Created in partnership with Visit Anchorage, it’ll be held on May 17-20, 2026 and offer a theme of “Tourism, Communities & Business: Creating Shared Value & Addressing Challenges.”
The program will offer key insights into different sectors and their issues, from aviation to climate risks, focusing on how community-based tourism models work and how they can become a more sustainable tourism model going forward.
“We are proud to partner with Visit Anchorage for the 2026 SIR Summit in Anchorage, a destination with a strong commitment to responsible tourism,” said Terry Dale, president and CEO of United States Tour Operators Association. “The SIR Summit continues to be an essential forum for our members to collaborate, learn from one another, and identify practical solutions that help address shared sustainability challenges and move our industry forward.”
USTOA Active and Associate Members can register to attend the event now through April 3, 2026.
Visit Anchorage holds a certification from the Adventure Green Alaska program, which certifies leadership in sustainability across cultural, environmental, social and economic criteria.
