Subway is looking to reward travelers who get sandwiched in the middle seat on the first day of Southwest Airlines’ new assigned seating policy on January 27.
The fast-food chain will give away 737 $20 gift cards to passengers who submit a selfie of their middle seat experience at SubwayMiddleSeat.com on Tuesday, January 27 only.
The promotion is open to legal residents of all 50 United States and Washington, D.C. who are age 18 and up.
“Getting sandwiched in a middle seat, no matter how early you check in, is not something many travelers will love. So, on Tuesday, we’re going to turn a bad ‘sandwich’ into a great sandwich by reassigning 737 middle-seaters a $20 Subway gift card. It’s as easy as A-B-C, and the bag is free,” Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, Subway North America, said in a statement.
Southwest will embark on a new era this month when it introduces its assigned seating policy and new boarding process at airports nationwide.
