Calling all vintage Smurfs fans.
Translation: Attention all readers who were in their prime childhood cartoon-watching years during the early 1980s. (In other words, Gen X.)
You can now immerse yourself in all things Smurf, at least for a few hours.
Airbnb, in partnership with Paramount Animation, is offering two families of up to four guests a chance to live like a Smurf for the day deep in the Belgian woods.
And no, you won’t have to shrink down to “three apples” tall in order to participate in this unique experience.
Timed to coincide with the global release of The Smurfs Movie on July 18, Airbnb Experience is serving up a serious dose of childhood nostalgia for fans of the The Smurfs franchise, which originally launched in 1981.

The experience takes place in a magical forest in Annevoie, Belgium, close to Brussels, and is completely free. (Though you must get yourself to the location at your own expense, of course.)
There will only be a mere two sessions of this Smurf experience offered. And there’s only space for four guests per session. Additionally, the spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bottom line? If there’s a Smurf fan in your family (whether child or adult), mark your calendar for July 16 and be sure you’re among the first to sign-up.
