American Cruise Lines has christened its newest ship, American Patriot.
Last week, the company held a traditional ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island, to officially welcome the first ship in its new Patriot Class.
The 130-passenger vessel will soon be joined by sister ships American Pioneer, American Maverick and American Ranger, which are slated to debut later this year and into 2026.
“We are so pleased to be back in Newport this summer, christening yet another new U.S. ship and celebrating the Fourth of July with our guests,” says Charles B. Robertson, president and chief executive officer of American Cruise Lines.
“We are especially honored to be joined by American Patriot’s godmother, Susan Daly, president of Sail Newport, and so many of our Eagle Society members, who cruise with us again and again, whole-heartedly supporting our mission to offer the finest cruise explorations for discovering and re-discovering America,” Robertson continued.
The company also kicked off the countdown to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. To celebrate the milestone, the line is offering several new extended cruises that aim to highlight the nation’s history and grandeur.
