Amtrak has announced a new limited-time “Falling Fares
Sale,” offering rail travelers discounted fares on routes across the country,
providing an extra incentive to plan an autumn getaway.
Amtrak customers can enjoy up to 25 percent off regularly
priced fares on select routes, which is available on tickets booked through Tuesday,
October 7.
The deal applies to travel between Tuesday, October 14 and
Thursday, December 18 in Coach and Acela Business classes.
“Whether for a short regional
trip or a cross-country journey, train travel offers a unique way to experience
autumn’s vibrant landscapes, charming towns, and big cities,” Amtrak Executive
Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch said.
“Our nationwide flash sale is an invitation to experience
the comfort, convenience, and value that only Amtrak can offer,” Hamlisch
continued.
The applicable routes include Acela, Amtrak Cascades, Auto
Train, California Zephyr, Capitol Corridor, Cardinal, Carolinian/Piedmont, City
of New Orleans, Coast Starlight, Crescent, Downeaster, Empire Builder,
Floridian, Heartland Flyer, Hiawatha, Illinois Services, Lake Shore Limited,
Michigan Services, Northeast Regional, San Joaquin, Southwest Chief, Sunset
Limited, Texas Eagle, and the Vermonter.
Regarding the sale terms and conditions, availability is
limited, and blackout dates are Tuesday, November 11, and November 21 through
