PARIS (AP) — With the support of international partners and $115 million in funding, the U.N. cultural agency UNESCO recently helped rebuild the Iraqi city of Mosul after it was devastated by the Islamic State group. Thanks to a new program from American Airlines, international connection times will be cut in half for passengers on one popular route. The carrier has officially launched its One Stop Security program, which allows connecting travelers on American’s route from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dallas-Forth Worth (DFW) to clear customs at their arrival gate. The U.K.’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced on Wednesday a proposal that would give Apple’s and Google’s mobile platforms “strategic market status” — a designation that allows the regulator to create rules that could change how their app stores operate and how their mobile software works. YouTube announced on Wednesday that it’s giving Shorts creators access to new generative AI features, including an image-to-video AI tool and new AI effects.
