Uncertainty around tariffs has caused even the wealthiest buyers of Lamborghini supercars to hold off on their purchases, CEO Stephan Winkelmann told CNBC.While the White House recently announced an agreement with Europe on a 15% tariff rate, that rate hasn’t yet taken effect for cars. Lamborghini and other European automakers are still paying a tariff rate of 27.5% on exports to the U.S. With the price of a Lamborghini starting at $400,000, many buyers are choosing to wait for more stable tariff rates before buying, Winkelmann said.”Some are waiting because they want to be sure that this is the final…

Two years ago, Apple announced its Watch Series 9 as its first carbon-neutral product. From cradle to grave, the company said the manufacturing, use, and disposal of the then-new model didn’t contribute to global warming. Now, a German court says that Apple has to recant the claim. Each aluminum Apple Watch Series 9 and Series 10 — two models with the carbon-neutral designation — generates just over 8 kilograms of carbon emissions. Apple then offsets those emissions through the purchase of carbon credits. The German environmental group Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) brought the lawsuit against Apple. Apple did not immediately reply…

Trump’s envoy tells Lebanese journalists not to be ‘animalistic,’ ties behavior to Middle East’s ‘problem’
Facebook Tweet Email Link United States Special Envoy Tom Barrack sparked outrage after telling Lebanese journalists to act “civilized,” not “animalistic,” during a news conference in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday. Barrack, joined by deputy envoy Morgan Ortagus, was in the Lebanese capital as part of US efforts to disarm the Iran-backed Hezbollah group. During the briefing, he scolded the journalists for calling out questions simultaneously – a common practice in news conferences – linking their behavior to what he described as a broader “problem” in the Middle East. “Please, be quiet for a moment. And I wanna tell…

Facebook Tweet Email Link (CNN) – “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is a phrase enshrined in the US Declaration of Independence. But a couple of the Founding Fathers might have considered skinny dipping another inalienable right. Benjamin Franklin was known to have stripped down to his birthday suit to demonstrate what were apparently exceptional swimming skills. During his tenure in the White House, John Quincy Adams frequently started his presidential day with a naked soak in the Potomac. Fast forward more than two centuries, clothing optional resorts and nude beaches can be found across the nation. The American…
