The Florida tourism industry continues its pattern of sustained growth in visitation.In the third quarter of 2025, the state welcomed an estimated 34.3 million travelers, reflecting a continued year-on-year growth in visitation, according to VISIT FLORIDA. Domestic travelers accounted for 91.7 percent of all visitors, with 31.5 million Americans traveling to Florida in Q3. International visitation showed a 3.2 percent growth, reaching 2.3 million while Canadian visitors totaled 507,000. Threads is exploring games in chats, beginning with a basketball game. A spokesperson for Meta confirmed to TechCrunch that the company is internally prototyping the game and that it’s not available to the public. The game was first spotted by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, who often finds unreleased features while they’re still under development. Paluzzi shared a screenshot of the basketball game, which appears to let users virtually shoot hoops by swiping their finger. A Texas teachers union sued the state’s education department on Tuesday, accusing it of an improper “wave of retaliation” against public school employees over their social media comments following the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.The lawsuit says the free speech rights of teachers and other school staff were violated by the Texas Education Agency and its commissioner, Mike Morath, because they directed local school districts to document what the education agency described as “vile content” posted online after Kirk’s fatal shooting in September.
