The workaholic assassin Hutch Mansell is in a funk as “Nobody 2” opens. He’s sick of the daily grind, by which we mean he spends hours a day grinding people’s skulls into mush. What about a family vacation?“You need to have happy memories,” he tells his wife and kids. Unfortunately, no one in the theater will have a happy memory — or maybe even recall that they saw this C-level offering — by the time it’s over, mercifully after less than 90 minutes. The movie opens in theaters Friday.Bob Odenkirk makes another awkward stab as an assassin-turned-nice-guy in a sequel…

Facebook Tweet Email Link London — The Trump administration has published a report claiming that human rights in the United Kingdom “worsened” over the past year. The annual report, part of the US State Department’s global survey of human rights and covers the 2024 calendar year, criticized what it said were “serious restrictions” on free speech and threats of violence motivated by antisemitism. Although other reports in the series claimed human rights also regressed in countries like France and Germany, the list of grievances in the UK was far longer, underscoring the supposed backsliding in the age of social media.…

Eight years ago, orthopedic surgeon Dr. William Kapp attended a medical conference that changed his professional life. He had gone from a private-practice doctor to co-founding a company that built critical care hospitals to then selling that company. It gave him an interest for both sides of healthcare: the medicine and business sides, he told TechCrunch. So he went to the annual conference hosted by famed physician-scientist Dr. Daniel Kraft to learn about new tech that could improve results while lowering costs. Dr. Peter Diamandis, founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation, was on stage that year with Dr. Bob…
NEW YORK (AP) — Feeling nostalgic for the days when going back to school meant picking out fresh notebooks, pencils and colored markers at a local drugstore or stationary shop? The annual retail ritual is both easier and more complicated for today’s students. Chains like Walmart generate online lists of school supplies for customers who type in their zip codes, then choose a school and a grade level. One click and they are ready to check out.
