Amidst heightening tensions with China, U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday insisted that Intel’s CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, must step down, accusing Tan of harboring conflicts of interest. “The CEO of INTEL is highly CONFLICTED and must resign, immediately. Bouygues Telecom, the third-largest phone carrier in France, has confirmed a cyberattack and data breach affecting millions of its customers. In a statement posted to its website, the telecommunications giant said the hack allowed the intruders to access the personal information on 6.4 million customer accounts. Bouygues said it detected the cyberattack on August 4, but did not give a time frame for when the breach was remediated. Israel’s military chief warned against a full takeover of Gaza, according to three Israeli sources familiar with the discussions. In a meeting with top officials on Tuesday evening, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir cautioned that fully conquering Gaza would trap the military within the enclave and put the remaining hostages at risk, the sources said. Eli Lilly on Thursday hiked its 2025 guidance and posted second-quarter earnings that topped estimates on strong demand for its blockbuster weight loss and diabetes drugs.The company raised its fiscal 2025 sales guidance to $60 billion to $62 billion, from a previous outlook of $58 billion to $61 billion on underlying strength across its business.
