Rapido, a popular ride-hailing platform in India that competes with Uber, has doubled its valuation to $2.3 billion following a secondary share sale by food delivery giant Swiggy. The share sale comes just weeks after Rapido began piloting food deliveries, edging into Swiggy’s core territory. Spirit Airlines has announced plans to furlough approximately one-third of its flight attendants by December 1 amid financial turmoil.According to USA Today, the beleaguered budget airline will furlough 1,800 out of 5,200 flight attendants in an effort to “align staffing with our fleet size and expected flight volume.” More than 800 flight attendants have already taken either voluntary time off or extended voluntary time off. Disney is raising the price of Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions once again. Starting October 21, many of the streaming services’ standalone plans and bundles will see price increases.
