After Democratic Senators Ruben Gallego, Mark Warner, and Richard Blumenthal expressed concern that Delta Air Lines would use AI to set individual prices, the airline responded in a letter on Thursday. “There is no fare product Delta has ever used, is testing or plans to use that targets customers with individualized prices based on personal data,” the company said. “Furthermore, we have zero tolerance for discriminatory or predatory pricing and fully comply with applicable laws in privacy, pricing and advertising. Our Al-powered pricing functionality is designed to enhance our existing fare pricing processes using aggregated data. This technology is a decision-support…
Elon Musk’s AI company has officially rolled out Grok Imagine, xAI’s image and video generator, to all SuperGrok and Premium+ X subscribers on its iOS app. And true to form for Musk, who positions Grok as an unfiltered, boundary-pushing AI, the generator allows users to make NSFW content. Grok Imagine, which promises to turn text or image prompts into a 15-second video featuring native audio, has a “spicy mode” that allows users to generate sexually explicit content, including partial female nudity . There are limits to how explicit one can get. Many of our spicier prompts — made in the…

Facebook Tweet Email Link Negotiations on a hostage and ceasefire deal in Gaza appear to be at an impasse, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaning towards expanded military operations and Hamas demanding the humanitarian situation be addressed before it returns to talks. An Israeli official said Sunday that Netanyahu is “pushing for the freeing of the hostages through military defeat (of Hamas),” while accusing the militant group of refusing to engage in meaningful negotiations. The official said that Netanyahu wanted to combine the freeing of the hostages “with the entry of humanitarian aid into areas outside the combat zones…
by Mia Taylor Last updated: 7:00 PM ET, Fri August 1, 2025 More then a few travel industry studies and surveys recently have indicated that there is some trepidation among Americans who are making plans to travel internationally. It seems Americans are increasingly worried about the reception they’ll receive in other countries that may be alienated or offended by the Trump Administration’s policies and rhetoric. A July survey of travel advisor sentiment conducted by the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), for instance, found that advisors are “seeing hesitation in their clients, cancellations in their bookings and fear in their conversations,” The…
Tesla’s board of directors has announced a new compensation package for CEO Elon Musk worth around $29 billion in shares, with the company citing the “ever-intensifying AI talent war and Tesla’s position at a critical inflection point” as reasons for the payout. The massive pay package is being allocated through a 2019 Equity Incentive Plan that is already approved by shareholders, so it won’t go to a vote, according to a regulatory filing and Ann Lipton, a professor at the University of Colorado Law School. Tesla says it will put “a longer-term CEO compensation strategy” to a vote at the…

Facebook Tweet Email Link As a travel journalist, Claire Dodd has checked into five-star hotels and set sail on butler-staffed cruises. But when she books her own vacations, she goes for something decidedly more low key: Jet2 Holidays, the British budget tour operator she declares “a fricking delight.” “They’re so nice to deal with at the airport,” she says. “You get there, and instead of the slightly begrudging service you sometimes get from a budget airline, they actually look happy to see you. They’re super-organized — there’s never a queue because there’s some jolly customer service agent directing you where…
