The company lost $176 million in the three months ending June 30. But that’s down from $1.09 billion in losses from one year earlier. Facebook Tweet Email Link London — The founder of pro-Palestinian activist group has won the right to challenge the British government’s decision to ban the group under anti-terrorism laws. London High Court Judge Martin Chamberlain granted Palestine Action’s co-founder Huda Ammori permission to seek a judicial review Wednesday, saying that it was “reasonably arguable,” that the ban had disproportionately interfered with the group’s right to freedom of expression, assembly and association under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The UK-based group, which aims to disrupt the operations of weapons manufacturers supplying the Israeli government, was proscribed earlier this month…
The 2025 Acura ADX is all-new this year, and it takes its place as Acura’s smallest and least expensive crossover SUV. If you think Acura’s RDX or MDX are too big or too expensive, the entry-level ADX could very well satisfy. Among many rivals the ADX faces, one of the most well-established models is the 2025 BMW X1. The X1 arrived in BMW dealerships more than a decade ago, and BMW released this latest third-generation X1 for the 2023 model year. Similar to how Acura positions the ADX, the X1 is the entry point to BMW’s extensive lineup of SUVs.The…
Some say directing is 90% casting. In the case of Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin, it was more like 110%.The choice of Nielsen for “Police Squad!” and the subsequent “Naked Gun” movies deserves a special place in the annals of brilliant casting choices. Surely you could say that the masters of spoof — David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker — first struck gold in putting Nielsen in “Airplane!” But why, exactly, Nielsen was so perfect for 1988’s “The Naked Gun” is natural to ponder during Akiva Schaffer’s spirited but just off-the-mark reboot, starring Liam Neeson.Neeson, like Nielsen, has…

About 23 percent splash in excess of $6,000 or more when in-destination, according to a new quarterly travel trends report from Phocuswright. That’s compared to 17 percent of Millennials who say they spend $6,000 or more and 16 percent of Gen X. Millennials, on the other hand, dominate the lowest spending category when exploring a destination with 32 percent spending $1,000 or less. By comparison, about 27 percent…
Last week, the dating safety app Tea experienced a data breach, exposing 72,000 sensitive images containing selfies and photo IDs for account verification, as well as images from posts and messages. The personal data was reportedly shared by users on 4chan. As now reported by 404 Media, a second security issue exposed more user data, prompting the app to disable its direct messaging feature on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier this week, 404 Media received a tip from independent security researcher Kasra Rahjerdi, including messages between users sharing phone numbers and discussing abortions and unfaithful partners. The app — created to provide…
When school starts in West Virginia next month, 240,000 students in districts large and small will notice something missing from their cafeteria trays.Gone will be red Jell-O fruit cups, yogurt topped with brightly hued sprinkles and Cool Ranch Doritos — all foods made with synthetic dyes.In their place will be foods that contain colors made only from natural sources — such as vegetables, spices and seeds — after West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey signed a sweeping new law in March banning seven artificial dyes from school meals.Other states have enacted similar laws that would strip artificial dyes from school meals,…

Spotify has experimented with various voice interfaces in the past, and more recently, added an AI DJ that introduces tunes the company thinks you’ll like and lets you make your own requests.
