The Cenote Corridor, according to Estefanía Hernández, Secretary of Playa del Carmen Municipal Tourism, would be an inter-destination campaign highlighting the region’s many cenotes, which are pools of freshwater that have formed from limestone caverns, sometimes located in caves but otherwise open to the air. Snap has unveiled the second version of its Snap OS, the software powering its AR glasses known as Snap Spectacles. The update includes a new native browser, WebXR support, and more. The launch comes as the company rolled out its fifth-generation Snap Spectacles for developers last year and plans to launch a consumer version sometime in 2026. A new iOS app called Awake, designed specifically for heavy sleepers who must complete missions to turn off their alarms, launched Monday. The app is only available to users with the iOS 26 update, which also came out on Monday. Unlike traditional alarm clocks that can be silenced with a simple tap, Awake is intended to actively engage users’ brains to ensure they fully wake up. Las Vegas officials have unveiled a completely reimagined rideshare pickup area at Harry Reid International Airport’s Terminal 1.The all-new Fabulous Pickups area boasts vibrant lighting, additional seating and a custom neon selfie wall. Universal Orlando Resort officials confirmed that the company is planning for future developments in the Lost Continent area of the Islands of Adventure park, according to an email that was sent to the Orlando Business Journal. On September 10, the theme park applied for a permit to demolish roughly five acres of land in the park. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is redirecting nearly $500 million in federal funding toward historically Black colleges and tribal colleges, a one-time investment covered primarily by cuts to other colleges serving large numbers of minority students.The Education Department announced the funding boost days after cutting $350 million from other grants, mostly from programs reserved for colleges that have large numbers of Hispanic students. Mexico’s National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said this week that international visitation to the country increased by 12.3 percent in July, when compared to the same month in 2024.“Of this amount, 4,245,420 (50.5 percent) were international tourists (travelers living abroad who stayed overnight in Mexico), 6.1 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, and 4,159,973 (49.5 percent) were excursionists (visitors who did not stay overnight on their trip),” said a release from the organization.
