CRV has secured $750 million toward the 55-year-old venture firm’s twentieth flagship fund, it announced on Friday. The new fund is smaller than the $1 billion early-stage fund CRV closed in the fall of 2022. At that time, the firm also announced a $500 million second Select fund, a capital pool for backing late-stage rounds of existing portfolio companies. It’s no surprise that CRV is not raising a late-stage fund as part of its new fundraise. Last year, the firm told The New York Times it was returning $275 million from its $500 million Select fund to investors. The firm…
NEW YORK (AP) — Millions of student borrowers could begin having their wages garnished as soon as this summer, according to estimates from credit bureau TransUnion. But access to that capital is harder than ever,” she said. Gao, who spoke at TechCrunch’s All Stage conference in July, said it’s possible for startup founders, especially those in later Series C stage, to navigate this particular economic environment. And they need to start with a reality check. To begin, she said, it’s important to note that only one in five startups that raise a Series A ever make it to raise a Series C. And, in…

In a new statement this week, officials in Germany said they had seized the gang’s servers and systems as part of an operation on July 24. The officials said the operation had secured “considerable amounts of data” that will be used to help identify the individuals responsible for the attacks. The officials said they switched off the servers, effectively cutting off the ransomware malware. The statement said BlackSuit had a total of…
Israeli hostage families hold emergency protest after Gaza militants release new propaganda videos
Facebook Tweet Email Link Protestors gathered in Tel Aviv’s “Hostage Square” on Saturday to stage an emergency protest following the release of propaganda videos showing emaciated Israeli hostages still held in Gaza. Ask any homeowner: Renovation projects are no fun at all. From finding a contractor to determining a fair price, the process is rife with uncertainty. Pearl Edison thinks the answer is utilities. “As much as anything, we are leveraging their brand equity and trust,” Evan Anderson, co-founder and CEO of Pearl Edison, told TechCrunch. Investors have bought into the idea.…
