Norsk Tipping sent messages and push notifications to customers that showed the wrong, inflated winnings, before later issuing a correction. “Norsk Tipping sincerely apologizes to everyone who…

NEW YORK (AP) — If you have a cocktail scene in your neck of the woods (and it’s safe to say that I do in NYC), you might have noticed the words “pickle juice” appearing more often on drink menus.Pickles and pickle brine have been an ingredient that mixologists — and chefs — have played with for a long time, but they’re finally getting a star turn in beverage menus around the world. Pickle juice is salty, tangy acidic, and sometimes a little spicy. It adds zing to all kinds of cocktails.“Pickles are a great gateway into savory cocktails,” says…
For reporters, it’s hardly unusual to call sources on the phone to learn details or get quotes that will enliven their stories. Sometimes people will talk, sometimes they won’t.But the president of the United States? In an almost unfathomable level of access, reporters who call President Donald Trump on his personal cell phone often get an answer — and an interview — from the leader of the free world on the spot. There’s evidence that this is happening more frequently.Paradoxically, it’s the same president who popularized the term “fake news” and has battled against the press for years on multiple fronts.…

In recent years, the handling of the nation’s largest public pension fund has caused growing alarm among a group of retirees who rely on it.They have sought an outside audit of California’s $530 billion pension fund, known as the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, or CalPERS.
