SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Democratic Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek on Tuesday signed into law a bill that provides unemployment benefits to striking workers, following neighboring Washington state in adopting measures spurred by recent walkouts by Boeing factory workers, hospital nurses and teachers in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon’s measure makes it the first state to provide pay for picketing public employees — who aren’t allowed to strike in most states, let alone receive benefits for it. It makes striking workers eligible to collect unemployment benefits after two weeks, with benefits capped at 10 weeks.Only three other states — New York, New…

The star couple anchored a guest list at Pharrell Williams’ latest Louis Vuitton spectacle that doubled as a map of contemporary culture now: Bradley Cooper, J-Hope, Karol G, Pinkpanthress, Future, Pusha T, Jackson Wang, Bambam, Mason Thames, Miles Caton, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Malcolm Washington, Jalen Ramsey, and A$AP Nast. If there was any question about the gravitational pull of Louis Vuitton under…

The VCs, pod bros, and self-proclaimed “besties” of the All-In Podcast launched their own tequila brand Saturday night and it promptly sold out, according to liquor e-commerce sites. Their version of the Mexican spirit cost a jaw-dropping $1,200 per bottle, but only 750 bottles were made. The stacked poker-chip container was inspired by the “besties’” love of the card game. The All-In Podcast is one of the most popular shows by venture investors who have turned to politics. The besties consist of Launch founder Jason Calacanis; Craft Ventures founder David Sacks, who is the AI czar in the Trump administration;…

Has Iran’s nuclear program been defeated? Key question unanswered as Israel ceasefire takes hold
CNN — From the start of Israel’s unprecedented strikes on Iranian targets earlier this month, the aims of the operation were made perfectly clear. The intention, one Israeli military official carefully spelled out to CNN, was to permanently remove the Islamic Republic’s “existential” nuclear and ballistic missile threats. After the United States joined in at the weekend, pounding Iranian nuclear facilities with powerful bunker-busting munitions, President Donald Trump insisted the strikes were a “spectacular military success” and that Iran’s nuclear facilities had been “totally obliterated.” But with a ceasefire now in place, it’s far from clear that ambitious objective has…
