Tsunami warnings have been issued for parts of Russia and Japan after a massive 8.7 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday off Russia’s remote and sparsely populated far eastern coast. The earthquake hit about 85 miles (136 kilometers) from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia at a depth of 19 kilometers, according to the USGS, which upgraded the quake’s strength from an initial 8 magnitude estimate. The quake is the strongest since 2011, since a 9.0-9.1 megaquake struck northeast Japan. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The man charged with ordering the 1996 killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas is asking the Nevada Supreme Court to dismiss his murder charges.Duane “Keffe D” Davis filed an appeal with the court Tuesday after a lower court judge upheld his charges. Davis, the only man ever to be charged in Shakur’s killing, was arrested in September 2023. Adobe is bringing more AI-powered image-editing and enhancement features to Photoshop using its Firefly models. The company said today that it is rolling out an image-upscaling feature, an object blending, and an upgraded object remover to Photoshop. The company said that the Generative Upscale feature will enhance an image up to 8 megapixels. This is useful for restoring details to old photos, upscaling images for prints, or adopting assets for various platforms. Royal Caribbean raised its full-year guidance Tuesday on the back of strong cruise bookings.The company now expects 2025 earnings of between $15.41 and $15.55 per share on an adjusted basis, up from prior earnings per share guidance of $14.55 to $15.55.CEO Jason Liberty noted traveler preferences are evolving, saying there’s an increase in people choosing to vacation more frequently and are opting for experience-driven travel. Spirit Airlines has announced plans for a significant downsizing as it seeks to overhaul its business this summer.The ultra-low-cost carrier confirmed that it will furlough as many as 270 pilots and demote 140 others in cost-cutting measures to scale down its workforce in response to a slimmer flight schedule. “We are taking necessary steps to ensure we operate as efficiently as possible as part of our efforts to return to profitability,” the airline said in an emailed statement to Reuters.The demotions for dozens of pilots will take effect on October 1, while furloughs will begin one month later on November…
