A new retreat for travelers is coming to one of the busiest airports in the United States.
Capital One has announced it will soon open a new Capital One Lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).
The relaxing new space will be located on the mezzanine level of the airport’s new Concourse A expansion and measure about 14,000 square feet.
Inside, travelers can expect “a warm, light-filled environment,” the credit card company says. Amenities will include a full-service coffee bar, cuisine inspired by local dishes, dedicated work spaces, and sweeping views of the tarmac.
Renderings of the new space show a minimalist and modern design aesthetic with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows lined with lounge chairs, a central wraparound bar, and plenty of comfortable tables to enjoy the lounge’s food and beverage offerings.
The Charlotte location is Capital One’s eighth lounge announcement. It currently operates a network of five Capital One Lounges, with locations at Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Washington Dulles (IAD), Denver (DEN), Las Vegas (LAS), and New York-JFK.
It also has one outpost of its Capital One Landing concept, a culinary-focused lounge offering quick bites and small plates designed with José Andrés Group, at D.C.’s Reagan National Airport (DCA). A second Capital One Landing location is slated to open soon at New York LaGuardia (LGA).
To have guaranteed access to the lounges, travelers must hold the right Capital One credit card. Primary cardholders of the company’s Venture X or Venture X Business cards receive complimentary access. Starting February 1, 2026, additional cardholders must pay a $125 annual lounge fee to receive access to the lounges. Travelers with the Venture card or Spark Miles card can purchase access for themselves and guests for $45 a person.
Travelers without one of the above cards are able to purchase a day pass to Capital One’s lounges at select locations for $90.
