Carnival Cruise Line is sharing more details about Carnival Sunshine’s 2027-28 voyages.
From May through October 2027, the ship will offer a series of Mediterranean and North African cruises departing from Barcelona, Spain, and Civitavecchia, Italy. The vessel will visit destinations across Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Montenegro, Tunisia and Morocco.
The lineup includes Carnival’s first-ever visits to Africa, with calls in La Goulette (Tunis), Tunisia, and Tangier, Morocco; along with new European ports such as Bari, Italy; Bar, Montenegro; and Ajaccio (Corsica), France.
Carnival Sunshine will also return to several ports the cruise line hasn’t visited in a few years, including Genoa, Salerno, Palermo and Catania in Italy; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; and Izmir, Turkey.
“We’re excited to bring Carnival Sunshine to an expanded lineup of destinations that offer our guests even more ways to explore Europe and beyond,” says Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “With our first-ever African ports, new European calls and once-in-a-lifetime eclipse sailing, this deployment delivers variety, adventure and memorable experiences our guests look forward to when sailing on Carnival.”
The season includes a special solar eclipse cruise departing July 25, 2027 that will position Carnival Sunshine within the path of totality for the celestial event on August 2, 2027. That unique voyage also includes visits to Marseilles, France; Genoa, Salerno, and Catania, Italy; Valletta, Malta; and La Goulette, Tunisia.
A similar experience will be offered aboard Carnival Miracle on an 11-day Carnival Journeys cruise departing Dover, England, on July 29, 2027.
