Celebration Key has only been open for a few days but, already, Carnival Cruise Line is taking full advantage of its new private destination on Grand Bahama.
On Tuesday, two ships docked at Celebration Key for the first time, Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest.
More than 7,000 guests from both ships enjoyed the 68-acre destination’s various amenities and features, including the 1.5-mile stretch of pristine beach, freshwater lagoons, swim-up bars, waterslides and more.
“Celebration Key is already elevating the guest experience for us since we officially opened just a few days ago,” says Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Docking two ships simultaneously offers more guests the opportunity to enjoy this exceptional experience, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy everything this beautiful destination has to offer.”
This Friday, Carnival will celebrate yet another milestone with the arrival of Mardi Gras. It will be the first ship from the line’s largest Excel class to dock there, visiting alongside Carnival Pride.
More broadly, 20 ships from 10 U.S. homeports offer itineraries that feature stops at Celebration Key.
