Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida will open a new animation-themed attraction next year, called “The Magic of Disney Animation.”
The new attraction will be located in the building that is currently home to Star Wars: Launch Bay.
The Magic of Disney Animation will be inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios in California, with a magical twist. There’ll be a Production Gallery, where portraits come to life, a Screening Theater where families can watch a short film, drawing lessons, character meet-and-greets, and more.

“Our film came from the heart and from a desire of all the Disney Animation artists wanting to celebrate our artistic accomplishments and a passion for the studio’s legacy,” said “Once Upon a Studio” director, Trent Correy.
At “Drawn to Wonderland,” families will enjoy an indoor playground inspired by “Alice in Wonderland,” with an oversized flower garden, a Mad Tea Party playset, Tulgey Wood exploration area and more.
The Animation Courtyard will be redesigned as an outdoor space for gathering and relaxing, called “The Walt Disney Studios.”
The exteriors of several existing buildings nearby will also be redesigned to look more like the studios. Animation Courtyard, Star Wars: Launch Bay and Disney Jr. Play and Dance! will all close beginning September 25, 2025 for renovation.
