Explora Journeys introduced its 2027-28 Journeys Collection, which will feature a roster of 100 experiences in 59 countries and almost 200 destinations – including the luxury line’s inaugural series of Journeys in Asia.
The 2027-28 Journey Collection is available from September 2027 to May 2028.
In tandem with the news of the 2027-28 Journeys Collection, Explora announced that Explora V, the fifth ship in the Explora fleet, will debut in December 2027, sailing on Mediterranean itineraries, and will later join its sister ship, Explora I, on a roster of Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula cruises.
“The introduction of Asia is a landmark moment for our brand and for our guests,” said Explora Journeys President Anna Nash. “It reflects not only our ambition to continually expand our horizons but also our deep respect for the cultural richness and natural beauty of this remarkable region.”
Explora III is set to call at 47 destinations in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore – with 28 Journeys’ experiences.
The itineraries will include overnight stays Tokyo, Osaka and Naha, Japan; Hong Kong; Shanghai; Ha Long Bay and Ho Chi Minh City; and Bali.
Meanwhile, Explora V’s Mediterranean itineraries will include 27 Journeys in nine countries, and inaugural visits to such destinations as Messina, Italy; Split and Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Kepez, Turkey.
The ship’s Red Sea/Arabian Peninsula itineraries will put the spotlight on destinations in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain, with Journeys that will “weave through a region shaped by ancient trade routes and spiritual legacies while showcasing the dramatic contrasts of old and new that define it today,” Explora Journeys said.
