Good news for Mardi Gras revelers looking to experience the most legendary Fat Tuesday celebration in America on a budget: Frontier Airlines is launching special new flights to New Orleans just for Mardi Gras.
The low-cost carrier is adding 12 new flights to New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) in February 2026, as well as increasing flight frequencies on existing routes to the city during the month.
From February 12 to 22, Frontier will serve New Orleans from 22 U.S. airports. In 2026, Mardi Gras falls on Tuesday, February 17, and festivities in New Orleans usually last for several weeks leading up to the holiday itself.
Among the new limited-time routes being added are flights from major cities in the Northeast, Midwest, and South. Here’s a look at the details for the 12 special launches to New Orleans:
Service from Charlotte (CLT) will begin February 12 and operate 3x per weekService from Newark (EWR) will begin February 12 and operate 3x per weekService from New York (JFK) will begin February 12 and operate 4x per weekService from Las Vegas (LAS) will begin February 12 and operate dailyService from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will begin February 12 and operate dailyService from Austin (AUS) will begin February 13 and operate 3x per weekService from Cincinnati (CVG) will begin February 13 and operate 2x per weekService from Washington Dulles (IAD) will begin February 13 and operate 2x per weekService from New York (LGA) will begin February 13 and operate 3x per weekService from Miami (MIA) will begin February 13 and operate 3x per weekService from Phoenix (PHX) will begin February 13 and operate 3x per weekService from Tampa (TPA) will begin February 13 and operate 2x per week
In addition to the special new routes, the airline is also adding more daily flight frequencies on New Orleans-bound routes from Atlanta (ATL), Baltimore (BWI), Cleveland (CLE), Denver (DEN), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Houston Bush (IAH), Orlando (MCO), Philadelphia (PHL), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU).
