The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) introduced the “Hawaii Stays With You,” a global tourism campaign designed to illustrate how the destination provides travelers with transformational experiences.
The campaign, created by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HCVB) with oversight by the HTA, kicked off in the destination’s number one market – Los Angeles – during the football game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals on Jan. 4.
“The theme of the campaign was woven throughout game-day elements, including in-stadium signage, game ball delivery and an activation booth featuring Maui lei maker Britney Alejo-Fishell, one of the ambassadors featured in the campaign,” HTA said.
“Debuting this campaign here in Los Angeles gives us the perfect opportunity to connect with travelers who value meaningful experiences,” said HTA Interim President Caroline Anderson.
“Today’s travelers seek deeper connections with the people and places they visit, and this campaign invites them to see Hawaii through the everyday moments of those who call it home.
The campaign, which draws on Hawaii’s “The People. The Place. The Hawaiian Islands” promotion, puts the spotlight on the destination’s culinary adventures, leisure and wellness experiences and Hawaiian lifestyle.
“Hawaii is home to a living culture, diverse community and a thriving creative spirit,” said HCVB President and CEO Dr. Aaron J. Salā.
“‘Hawaii Stays With You’ is an invitation to find connection. It is also a declaration that an encounter with Hawaii can profoundly affect the lives of those who come here,” he added.
