Graduate by Hilton Dallas celebrated its official opening this week, marking the brand’s entry into the state of Texas and located directly across from Southern Methodist University.
The hotel offers 93 rooms with mid-century modern architecture with Texas flair. It offers a lobby lounge, outdoor pool and terrace area, several event spaces and its signature restaurant, Los Charros Tex-Mex Smokehouse.

Graduate Dallas is located where the former Lumen Hotel once stood. AJ Capital Partners, which developed and designed the property, kept the building’s mid-century design and added country-style flair, with warm wood tones, textile textures and leather and cowhides.
The lobby area provides a convivial space for guests to get coffee, work at the large communal table or just connect.
Los Charros Smokehouse pays homage to los charros, Mexican horsemen, and offers a large dining table for communal eating.

“Introducing the Graduate brand to Texas—one of the country’s largest and most dynamic markets—is a major milestone for us,” said Parker Henderson, brand leader, Graduate by Hilton. “A Graduate in Dallas’s Highland Park was a natural fit, as the property brings our collegiate-inspired hospitality to a neighborhood that reflects our core values of lifelong learning. It also kickstarts the brand’s Texas expansion with another property slated to open in Austin.”
Hilton Honors members can both redeem and earn points through stays at the Graduate by Hilton Dallas hotel. Graduate Hotels was acquired by Hilton for $210 million last year.
