Celebration Key, Carnival Cruise Line’s new exclusive destination that opened earlier this year on the south side of Grand Bahama island, is ready to bring guests some holiday cheer with a dazzling display of festive décor for the very first time.
Each of the destination’s five portals features holiday trees, wreaths, and garlands—each with different themes. Highlights include larger-than-life gift boxes stacked at Paradise Plaza and a 20-foot Celebration Key-themed tree in Lokono Cove, holiday-themed sand sculptures, including an eight-foot-tall sand tree in Santa’s Village at Starfish Lagoon and more.
Carnival says that Santa will make special appearances for festive family photos, and even the vibrant costumes in the Junkanoo parade have received a holiday twist for some extra cheer.
While Celebration Key sets the stage for this holiday debut, the festive atmosphere continues throughout the entire cruise experience. Guests sailing to the destination during the holiday season can enjoy themed activities, seasonal menus and entertainment on board, blending Carnival’s signature fun with holiday traditions and making this inaugural season at Celebration Key unforgettable.
Celebration Key has been popular with travelers heading to the Caribbean for its mile-long white sand beach and the largest freshwater lagoons.
