WHY IT RATES: Travel advisors
should take note of the leadership shakeup at InteleTravel.—Donald Wood, Managing
Editor.
InteleTravel, the global travel distribution group built on
the oldest and largest host agency, today announced multiple executive
leadership promotions across its family of brands, reinforcing the company’s
continued growth, innovation and long-term strategic vision.
Among the promotions, Kim Andreello has been named the
President of BusinessTravel.com, being readied for launch in the first half of
this year. Andreello will also continue to serve as Vice President of Corporate
Development and Strategy for InteleTravel. The industry veteran previously
served as president of Rocketrip, as well as in other leadership positions in
aviation and travel technology. Now, he will lead the new BusinessTravel.com
platform, which will provide one-stop, corporate level business travel tools
and rates to small- and medium-sized businesses and travel advisors. Andreello
has been integral to developing its AI-powered booking tools, which streamline
the process of securing optimal flights, hotels, and car rentals in seconds.
Long-time industry executive Dave Spinelli has been promoted
from Senior Vice President of Industry Relations to Chief Commercial Officer
for InteleTravel. Spinelli will oversee the company’s global commercial
strategy, focusing on revenue growth, supplier partnerships and international
market alignment. His expanded role includes negotiating strategic agreements,
optimizing sales performance and collaborating with executive leadership to
drive innovation and enhance advisor engagement. Prior to working with
InteleTravel, Spinelli was a managing editor for Travel Trade, a leading travel
industry trade publication, and held senior roles at Vacation.com, including
Vice President of Industry Relations, where he directly helped drive $3 billion
in cruise and tour sales and managed over 100 supplier partnerships.
Brian Holmberg will be promoted to Vice President of
Industry Relations at InteleTravel, where he will manage relationships with
more than 80 preferred suppliers serving the company’s network of advisors.
Previous to his career with InteleTravel, Holmberg was the Director of Sales
for Norwegian Cruise Lines and managed Signature Travel Network’s 32‑partner
cruise portfolio and programs as their Vice President of Cruise Sales. He also
held previous positions with Carnival Cruise Lines, where he oversaw a portfolio
of top performing trade partners, and Celebrity Cruises.
Dayna Jordan has been promoted from Senior Vice President of
Operations to Chief Operating Officer at InteleTravel. In her new role, Jordan
will lead operational strategy across the organization, leveraging technology,
innovation and scalable business processes to enhance the travel advisor
experience while ensuring quality service, compliance and brand consistency
worldwide.
Additionally, Patrick O’Brien has been promoted to Vice
President of Global Sales and Account Engagement for Hickory Global Partners,
HickorySolutions365 and BusinessTravel.com. O’Brien brings more than 30 years
of industry experience, including leadership roles at Trans World Airlines, US
Airways, American Airlines and others, and will focus on expanding global
partnerships and driving member value.
“These promotions reflect the strength of our leadership
team and the scale of growth we’re experiencing across all brands,” said James
R. Ferrara, InteleTravel’s CEO. “As InteleTravel continues to invest in
technology, education and global expansion, strong leadership remains central
to empowering travel advisors, developing new methods of distribution and
shaping the future of the industry.”
Other promotions include Jessica Sitomer, Senior Vice
President of Training and Agent Success; Bethany Grant, Vice President of Agent
Sales and Success and Stephanie Yardeni, Associate Vice President of Marketing.
Through strategic acquisitions, brand expansion and the
launch of AI-driven tools and platforms, InteleTravel continues to position
itself as a leading catalyst for travel advisor success. The business invests
considerable effort to be an all-encompassing resource for advisors across all
brands, and having qualified, reliable leadership is crucial to guiding the
