Due to customer demand, KLM unveiled unlimited, complimentary Wi-Fi for inter-Europe flights, which is being implemented in phases across the lion’s share of the carrier’s European routes.
Free Wi-Fi is now available on 50 percent of the airline’s flights. “In the coming years, Wi-Fi will be available on all A321neo, Embraer 195-E2 and a portion of the B737-800 aircraft,” KLM said.
Passengers can access the complimentary Wi-Fi by registering as KLM Flying Blue members.
The carrier’s European fleet does not have in-seat entertainment screens.
“We listen carefully to what our passengers value and free internet has been on their wish list for some time,” said KLM Vice President of Customer Experience Stephanie Putzeist.
“Through this step, we are making travel within Europe more personal and comfortable: Everyone can plan their flight in their own way and stay connected. We are delighted to realize this now for our passengers.”
