WHY IT RATES: Los Cabos enhanced its luxury tourism presence at Virtuoso Travel Week 2025, showcasing 15 member hotels, hosting 166 advisor meetings and engaging in various promotional events. —Janeen Christoff, TravelPulse Managing Editor
During Virtuoso Travel Week Las Vegas 2025, which takes place from August 9 to 15, Los Cabos consolidates its leadership as the destination with the highest concentration of Virtuoso member hotels in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, with a total of 15 exclusive properties, all present at the event.
From August 9 to 15, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) and the destination’s strategic partners deployed a comprehensive agenda aimed at strengthening ties with travel advisors, media and international leaders in the sector, promoting the presence of Los Cabos as a destination that combines luxury, adventure and nature.
During Virtuoso Travel Week Las Vegas 2025, 166 meetings were held with advisors specialized in luxury tourism and participation in the Connect golf tournament with 30 strategic advisors. The destination was also present in the Adventure Community through a stand dedicated to experiences in the Sea of Cortez and the legacy of Jacques Cousteau, where 75 presentations were held for 8 groups of agents, impacting more than 610 professionals.
In addition, a breakfast was held that brought together 1,200 travel advisors and meetings were held with more than 30 national and international media, consolidating the visibility of the destination on different communication platforms.
Participation in the Sustainability Community was highlighted at the Under One Sky event, along with hosting an exclusive Los Cabos cocktail party for 60 advisors and strategic partners. Executive meetings were also held with representatives of Virtuoso Asia, Virtuoso Latam and the global president of Virtuoso, strengthening the relationship with international leaders in the tourism sector.
The economic impact of the luxury segment in Los Cabos is significant. In 2024, the Virtuoso network generated more than 5,650 million pesos in economic spillover in member hotels alone, contributing with an estimated total impact of 1,015 million pesos for the destination. This market produced 113,500 room nights, with an average rate of 2,489 USD per night and an average expenditure of 57,000 pesos per stay, which underscores the strategic importance of this segment for the local economy.
