
Marriott International’s formidable portfolio of brands continues to expand with the company’s acquisition of citizenM now completed.
The lifestyle brand includes 37 hotels for a total of 8,789 rooms in upward of 20 cities in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific – with two properties in the pipeline representing more than 300 rooms.
“As travelers continue to seek innovative lodging offerings that blend technology with genuine, people-first hospitality, the citizenM brand is the perfect addition to our portfolio,” said Marriott International President and CEO Anthony Capuano. International.

With the completion of the transaction Marriott start the integration process of the citizenM portfolio into its systems and platforms.
“Until citizenM properties are fully integrated, anticipated later this year, they will remain bookable on citizenM’s digital channels,” Marriott said.
“At this time, members of the award-winning citizenM subscription program will continue to enjoy benefits, with more details to come about how the program will work following integration.”
Once the citizenM portfolio is fully integrated into the Marriott system, it will “become a fully participating brand within the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, unlocking even more value for members,” Marriott said.
