Relais & Châteaux Adds Eight New Hotels to Member List

The luxury independent hotel association Relais & Châteaux has added eight new hotels to its portfolio this month, located in desirable destinations across the globe. 

“Our Association is firmly committed to a sustainable path so as to contribute, through cuisine and hospitality, to building a more humane and united world, in harmony with living things,” said Laurent Gardinier, President of Relais & Châteaux. “It is an honor for me to welcome these nine new members to Relais & Châteaux, properties that share not only our values, but our passion for goodness and beauty.”

Relais & Châteaux Borgo Pignano Florence

Opening next year, the Relais & Châteaux Borgo Pignano Florence will offer 32 rooms and one villa just north of Florence. The property boasts beautiful Tuscan grounds, a swimming pool, one restaurant and a seasonal pop-up dining venue just for the summer. 

Relais & Châteaux Susana Balbo Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites

Located in the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina is the 7-suite Relais & Châteaux Susana Balbo Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites. Run by Argentina’s first female vintner, Susana Balbo, and her daughter, the boutique hotel sits within a historic property and offers an art collection, spa, restaurant and opportunities to immerse oneself in the world of winemaking. 

Relais & Châteaux Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

Located in Bellagio, Italy is the Relais & Châteaux Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, a 116-bedroom hotel featuring the largest spa in the Lake Como region, historic architecture, restaurant, spa and beach club. It’s been run by four generations of the same family. 

Relais & Châteaux Le Tikehau

Located in Tikehau, French Polynesia is the 30-bedroom Relais & Châteaux Le Tikehau property. A paradise with coral atolls, Polynesian culture and cuisine and plenty of ways to relax, the property boasts a pink sand beach and overwater bungalows on a private island oasis. 

Relais & Châteaux Prestonfield House

The 20-acre Relais & Châteaux Prestonfield House is located in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland, just a few minutes from the famed Arthur’s Seat. With 23 bedrooms, the intimate manor house is home to highland cows, 17th-century architecture, house restaurant and more. 

Relais & Châteaux L’Auberge de L’Ill — Hôtel des Berges & Spa

Located in Illhaeusern in Alsace, France is a dual member property: the 2 Michelin-starred L’Auberge de L’Ill restaurant and the Hôtel des Berges & Spa. The hotel property offers just 18 bedrooms, including a villa, plus the restaurant, which has been run for four generations. Guests will enjoy the scenic French countryside, the Spa des Saules, outdoor pool and more. 

Relais & Châteaux Awasi Santa Catarina

The next new member property is the Relais & Châteaux Awasi Santa Catarina in Governador Celso Ramos, Brazil. Located on South America’s scenic Emerald Coast, the 25-villa property offers a spa, restaurant, beach, hiking trails and more. 

Relais & Châteaux Gōra Kadan Fuji

Opening July 20 with views of Mount Fuji is the Relais & Châteaux Gōra Kadan Fuji. Located in Subashiri, Japan, the hotel offers 39 suites and three villas and is surrounded by scenic forests and lakes. The hotel is also home to an onsen.
