Riviera Travel has hired Matt Luscombe to be its new group chief executive officer.
Appointed by the board of directors, Luscombe will start his new role on January 1, 2026, succeeding Phil Hullah.
Hullah will remain onboard for the first part of the year, ensuring a seamless transition, and will remain a significant shareholder in the business thereafter.
Luscombe served most recently as chief executive officer of Freemans Event Partners. He also served as chief executive officer of Cycas and spent a decade at InterContinental Hotels Group, including as its chief commercial officer for Europe and North Africa. He holds degrees in economics and management studies from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
“Working with [Hullah] on our expansion into the North American market has been a fantastic experience and has allowed Riviera Travel to set itself up for significant future expansion,” says Stuart Milan, president of Riviera Travel North America.
“I look forward to working with [Luscombe] in the very near future,” Milan continued. “Riviera will maintain its focus on North American growth. The opportunity North America has for Riviera is very exciting and we look forward to working hard with our travel advisor partners to propel our growth further.”
