A cruise ship’s onboard restaurant has been honored in the 2025 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards.
La Dame on Silversea’s Silver Ray has been given an “Award of Excellence,” a global accolade given to restaurants based on their wine lists.
This year, La Dame was one of 2,010 restaurants to receive an Award of Excellence, which is given to eateries with wine lists that offer at least 90 selections and feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers. The lists must also thematically match the restaurant’s menu in both price and style.
“Whether compact or extensive, focused or diverse, these lists deliver sufficient choice to satisfy discerning wine lovers,” according to Wine Spectator.
Wine Spectator noted in its review that La Dame is known for its great view, wine tastings and events, focus on sustainability, gluten-free options and its cozy and intimate vibes. The restaurant has 120 wine selections on offer, with an inventory of 3,725 bottles.
Though the award was given to La Dame onboard Silver Ray specifically, the restaurant is onboard nearly a dozen Silversea ships. It’s named after the Eiffel Tower, also known as “La Dame de Paris,” and specializes in French cuisine.
